In collaboration with Health Education & Improvement Wales (HEIW), we have launched a new High Performance Leadership Framework exclusively for IHSCM members on HEIW’s online leadership portal ‘Gwella’.
The framework allows members to record and track their personal development activities through a system of points attributable to every course, workshop, event and meeting that they attend and / or complete.
The individual member points details are held securely on Gwella, a bespoke education and learning system. HEIW in collaboration with Thinqi worked to extend the functionality to support the national talent initiative.
Members of the IHSCM can track their progress and achieve certification for hitting various thresholds of activity, as well as making their progress available to employers should they choose.
“This is an incredibly important and useful resource for our members who told us that they wanted to be able to track and be recognised by the Institute for participation in events and courses. We are very grateful to all at HEIW for making their Gwella portal available to us and for working so helpfully to integrate it with our website.”
Jon Wilks, Chief Executive IHSCM
The IHSCM High Performance Leadership Competency Framework is a modular approach to professional development. There are 5 core competencies to work towards:
- Me, Myself & I
- Leadership Excellence
- Workforce
- Innovation
- Operational Leadership
Members can access the dedicated High Performance Leadership (HPL) Dashboard here; HPL Dashboard – IHSCM (ihm.org.uk).
From the dashboard, members can navigate the website to enrol on a short course masterclass, read a publication or report, register for a HealthChat or catch-up on previous interviews. Members can also register for conferences, Round Tables, PowerHours, Workshops and Special Interest Group Meetings.
