A People Plan for Social Care
We launched a People Plan for Social Care as a Call to Action. The first version was published in 2021 and revised in 2023 to address the current state of social care.Â
Â
Both plans reflect the voices of individuals living and working in social care and examine the existing landscape, highlighting both shortcomings and exemplary practices. Based on these insights, the plans provide a series of recommendations to help improve social care for everyone involved.Â
Â
When read together with the 2021 report, both plans offer a comprehensive overview of the ten most critical issues affecting social care. The latest 2023 version documents a significant achievement created by a passionate group dedicated to enhancing the state of social care; the IHSCM Social Care Innovators.Â
Â
Now is the time to take action and commit to making social care a better environment for everyone. Will you pledge to improve social care for all who live and work in it?Â
Â
We ask you to download, read, and share both People Plans with everyone in your social care network. Then, select three recommendations from either plan that you will commit to implementing within your services.
