Dawn Bunter, you are a Social Care Hero. Nominated by Adam Purnell, Care Quality Lead for Kepplegate Ltd, for being inspirational throughout the pandemic, championing social care, and her perseverance.
Dawn is a Registered Care Manager in Swaffham.
Adam says, “Although I have never met Dawn, I have been inspired by her perseverance throughout the pandemic. Working as a turnaround manager, she has helped improve her current home’s rating throughout the worldwide pandemic.”
Adam also said “Dawn has also persevered through her own mental health struggles due to COVID, in part to having an outbreak at her home, but, nonetheless, has been committed to championing not only the rights for residents to have visitors’ months and months before the government recognised this, but also championing social care overall”.
Dawn has been a regular face and voice on various media platforms talking about the needs for visiting, the effects the pandemic has had on her and her team, and with raising the profile of social care, most of which is done in her own time.
Dawn has also worked closely with relatives and campaigners from the Rights for Residents group to help bring change to lives outside of her home. In essence, Dawn is an inspiration.
