IHSCM is delighted to support Arden University’s ACE Mentoring Programme, an initiative designed to connect experienced professionals with students preparing to enter or progress within the health and care sector. Following the Care Show London, several IHSCM members expressed interest in becoming mentors — and we’re pleased to share that applications are now open.
The ACE Mentoring Programme offers volunteers the chance to make a meaningful impact by guiding students through career decisions, professional development, and the realities of working in health and social care. Mentors play a vital role in helping learners build confidence, understand the sector, and prepare for the next stage of their journey.
How to Apply
Individuals who wish to volunteer as mentors are invited to complete a short application, including:
- A brief overview of their motivation for becoming a mentor
- A copy of their CV
Applications can be submitted directly through Arden University’s portal: Volunteer Career Mentor – Arden University
The closing date for applications is 14th September.

The programme welcomes mentors from across the health and care landscape — including operational leaders, clinicians, managers, educators, and specialists. Whether you have decades of experience or are early in your leadership journey, your insight can make a significant difference to a student’s development.
