Today is World Mental Health Day, a global reminder of the importance of mental wellbeing. It’s a day to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote access to support for those navigating mental health challenges. This year’s theme—Mental Health is a Universal Human Right—calls on organisations, communities, and individuals to prioritise psychological safety and emotional resilience in every sphere of life.
In alignment with this mission, IHSCM is proud to announce the upcoming launch of a new personal stress management and professional confidence programme for its members, beginning in 2026. It will be available to IHSCM members as part of our commitment to holistic professional development, via an eight-module virtual series, designed to equip professionals with practical tools for emotional regulation, confidence-building, and strategic stress management—especially in high-pressure environments such as leadership, caregiving, and public speaking.
This programme reflects our belief that mental wellbeing is foundational to leadership, care, and community impact.
Why This Programme Matters
Mental health is not just a personal issue—it’s a professional imperative. In health and social care, where compassion and resilience are daily demands, unmanaged stress can lead to burnout, disengagement, and diminished wellbeing. This programme aims to create a safe, supportive space for members to reflect, reset, and grow—building habits that support long-term mental health and professional confidence.
